Celuk is one of famous village in Bali as a tourist destination cause of the local residents is very proactive and full of innovation to the gold and silver crafting. This countryside is located in sub district of Sukawati, Gianyar Regency and owns the individuality and excellence in production of gold and silver crafting. Most of them are Balinese professional, artistic and skillful of design development related to the silver and gold crafting.
For over a thousand years Batuan has been a village of artists and craftsmen, beside that Batuan is also famous by its traditional Balinese house compound which is consist of several buildings, the east building is used to make offerings, and the south building will be a kitchen. The west building is commonly used for the parent's room, and the north building is the children rooms or used as the place of the offerings. There also a family temple in northeast in the area of the house.
Mas village is located just about 15 minutes from Batuan Village . Mas Village belong to Ubud District is famous for center of woodcarving, where you can find the fine arts of woodcarving made from very hard wood such as teak, mahogany, ebony and hibiscus wood, those of wood import from another island Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi. Recently, the woodcarving produced not only for religious purposes, but they are also produced for enjoyment and commerce.
Ubud Monkey Forest
The Ubud Monkey Forest is a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. Its official name is the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary (Balinese Mandala Suci Wenara Wana), and its name as written on its welcome sign is the Padangtegal Mandala Wisata Wanara Wana Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. The Monkey Forest lies within the village of Padangtegal, which owns it. The village's residents view the Monkey Forest as an important spiritual, economic, educational, and conservation center for the village.
Ubud Art Market
The Ubud Art Market, locally referred to as 'Pasar Seni Ubud' is located opposite the the Puri Saren Royal Ubud Palace and is open daily. Here you can find beautiful silk scarves, lightweight shirts, handmade woven bags, baskets or hats; statues, kites and many other hand-crafted goods. Most of the goods found at the Ubud Market are made in the neighbouring villages of Pengosekan, Tegallalang, Payangan and Peliatan. The location of the Ubud Art Market which is centred among the art producing villages, and being just opposite the royal palace which is a centre point to Ubud itself, make it a strategic shopping place for Balinese handicrafts and souvenirs.
Tegalalang Rice Terace
Tegalalang is one of destination in Bali which is popular by its beutiful ricefield. The rice terrace is designed very beautiful with exquisite hollowing rice field and precisely located on the hill bank. In this place, you will see the Balinese farmer do their rice field in oblique area complete with its system irrigation. You will enjoy the beautiful panorama of valley with rice terrace and coconut trees ornament it.
Petulu Heron Village
2.5 km north of central Ubud lays the village of Petulu. Every afternoon thousands of herons arrive, circling over Petulu before settling into one of the many fig trees in the village where they will spend the night. Next morning they leave again, only to return again in the afternoon. The villagers believe that the herons are sacred, which is enhanced by their white and yellow feathers that are holy Hindu colours, and that they bring good luck and prosperity to the village.
Kecak & Fire Dance
Kecak and Fire Dance is very famous, might be compulsory for tourist to see this Bali art performance. There is no accompanying orchestra on this dance. Instead, a large group of men provide a continuous vocal background, something like a sound picture of an ocean in all its moods. They are dressed only in black and white check sarong, with red flower behind the right ear. They form rows of circles, in the middle of which is a coconut oil lamp. The Kecak dance is performed for dance-dramas and the story presented is take from the Ramayana epic.
